Henri Charles Ferdinand Marie Dieudonné de Bourbon was born on September 29th, 1820 in the castle of Tuileries, posthumous son of Ferdinand duke of Berry (murdered by Louvel on February 13th, 1820) and from Marie Caroline de Bourbon, he is Duke of Bordeaux, then Count de Chambord. Henri Dieudonné is " the child of the miracle ", the only pretender legitimately (elder branch of the Bourbon) of the throne after the death of his grandfather Charles X, all the hopes of the legitimists repose on him. In the days of July, 1830 (Three Glorious), in front of the insurrection, Charles X and all his family abdicate, quite, except his mother, he is then proclaimed king on August 2nd, 1830 under the name of Henri V but the National Assembly, at instigation of Adolphe Thiers, decides on it otherwise, prefers a parliamentary monarchy, and proclaims Louis Philippe 1st , king of the French. Henri does not have more than to follow his grandfather in the exile, the exile which will last forty years, until the proclamation of the Third Republic and its monarchic majority. At this moment, everything is reunited that he can finally rise on the throne, but his intransigence that France restores the White Flag, the Henri IV's White Flag, made that the Monarchic Restoration fails definitively. He dies on August 24th, 1883 in Frohsdorf ( Austria), and with him the House of Bourbon.
