The Danish Encased Postage Stamps are typical stamps stuck on paper or cardboard, inserted into a transparent envelope, furthermore they are the easiest to find.
They date from the German occupation, during the second world war. The bronze coins of 1, 5 and 10 Øre quickly disappear. Aluminum coins of 2 and 5 Øre are put into circulation at the beginning of 1941, but no coins of 1 Øre, what is greatly lacking. To palliate this lack, Encased Postage Stamps will be made, we count more than 1000 different types, made or ordered by the Danish shopkeepers and manufacturers. The 1 Øre zinc coin will be put into circulation at the end of 1941.
